Woodturning in Peterborough
The Village Turners logo

Recent Changes

The Village Turners was formed by people with an interest in woodturning, who recognized the value of contact with other turners to enable them to improve and advance their skills.

Our aims are to:-

  • Foster a greater awareness of the Turner’s craft
  • Promote woodturning
  • Encourage fun and pleasure from the craft
  • Promote the sharing of skills
  • Promote membership of the Association of Wood turners of Great Britain (AWGB)

We normally meet on the first and third Saturday of the month at Sacrewell Lodge Farm, near Peterborough. We have a  number of lathes set up for hands on tuition and demonstrations either by club members or professional turners. All club meetings are run on an informal basis with refreshments provided at a nominal charge. As a club we offer help and advice to help you improve your wood turning ability.

We are grateful to Nene Organics for their kind support.

For details of fees and how to find us please see the membership page. As a member, you will receive the club news letter and a warm welcome from the existing members.

  • Since we woodturners have a reputation for being ‘thrifty’ I thought the addition of TV listings would be a useful addition (to save us buying listings magazines).
