- The A.W.G.B is 'an international non-profit making organisation dedicated to the advancement and promotion of woodturning'. It is the umbrella organisation for wood turning clubs in the UK. A quality newsletter is sent to members on a regular basis.

- An AWGB branch, which meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Braunston Northamptonshire.The club has several professional turners amongst it’s members, all of whom are regular demonstrators.
- Although based in Liverpool, MWA has visited Peterborough several times, at the Fruits of the Forest Show.
