Stan Knowles gave a very informative and interesting talk on making segmented bowls etc. Despite a few pre talk nerves he was soon well into his stride and keeping his audience enthralled throughout. I think it is the most attentive I have seen the members at any meeting. Stan illustrated his talk with some part made items, some of the equipment he uses and made himself, and some of the worksheets he uses to get the angles etc correct. It was a very enjoyable day and hopefully we can persuade Stan to give another talk on some of the more advanced designs he produces next year. Also we had another visit from Bill & Cilla of Cambridge Blanks. Once again they had a very good selection of wood at very reasonable prices, a lot of members went home with loaded cars again.
